You can trust their claims, or you can trust the truth.

TRUTH #1

“Other oils can leave behind soot and deposits.”

The more soot that builds up, the harder your engines have to work to produce the same output. That’s more wear on your fleet, lower fuel economy on the road, and less time between drain intervals.

TRUTH #2

“Some engine oils aren’t made for the engines they are supposed to protect.”

Modern engines need a modern oil. With aftertreatment systems and new specifications in modern fleets, the oil you’ve always used may no longer provide proper protection from what’s pumping through your engine.

TRUTH #3

“No other diesel engine oil guards your fleet’s GO like Guardol®.”

Guardol ECT® provides superior protection from the soot other oils leave behind. It’s expertly designed to protect your fleet, extend your drain intervals and keep your trucks, and your business, on the go.

See how a switch from a 15W-40 engine oil to Guardol FE® 10W-30 could help you save on your bottom line.

HOW DOES GUARDOL® GUARD YOUR FLEET?

Proven superior oxidation resistance

In an average of three pressure differential scanning calorimetry (PDSC) oxidation tests, Guardol ECT® proved to have superior oxidation resistance over similar competitor products. By pressurizing samples with air to 100 psi, heated to 210°C (410°F), Guardol ECT® had longer oxidation induction time, meaning better oxidation control.

Outstanding soot control versus competitors

Guardol ECT® demonstrated better soot control from wear and soot-induced oil thickening. It was proven in an average of three moderately high temperature thermo-oxidation engine oil simulation tests (MHT TEOST SAE 15W-40). These tests simulated deposits on the ring belt and piston under-crown areas.

In a test that circulated an oil and catalyst mixture over a wire-wound depositor rod at 285º C (545º F), Guardol ECT® demonstrated a lower deposit weight, which means better deposit control.

Demonstrated excellent wear protection and long-term durability

In the critical DD13 scuffing test, Guardol ECT® and Guardol FE® demonstrated the same high level of wear protection and long-term durability, well exceeding the 31 hours-to-scuff limits required. This is a fired-engine test performed in a 2010MY 12.8L DD13, in-line six-cylinder, diesel engine with all emissions controls that evaluate resistance to adhesive wear between piston ring and cylinder linear interface.
